Summary:

This position is temp-to-hire.

Fabricate and assemble various steel parts per company drawings/specifications using ASME approved and qualified welding procedures specifications. Use and maintain related shop equipment for welding and product movement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include any or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Read and interpret company drawings and specifications

  • Must pass a 6G certified pipe weld test with the following procedures GMAW (MIG) and GTAW(TIG) meeting ASME requirements
  • Communication with outside inspection agencies
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment efficiently
  • Observe and follow all company safety rules and regulations
  • Overtime, as required by business needs
  • Follow Safety Guidelines and use the “Stop Work” Authorization
  • Follow all Quality Hold Points and support root cause analysis as needed
  • Ensure proper housekeeping is being followed
  • Meet or exceed daily work assignment goals that are provided.
  • Maintain company tooling and report issues as needed

Education and/or Experience:

Highschool diploma or GED, one to three years’ experience, and or the equivalent in technical school and experience

  • Insures a safe work environment and makes sure team is working with appropriate PPE and within safety guidelines of company. Attends monthly safety meetings and makes sure employees complete required safety training through web base training and safety training.
  • Understands the technical side of work responsibilities i.e. routers, prints, work flow in shop and essential paperwork.
  • Responsibilities would also require a “heads up” approach of maintaining shop equipment and the upkeep of tools that are essential to the calibrations performed by department.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: others may be required based on state and federal legislation and/or company policy revisions.
